SK101 - Kayla continues to tell Adrienne why she doesn’t want to see Steve. Adrienne goes to pick up lunch and Steve confronts her about lying to him about Kayla. Steve notices Adrienne’s bracelet and immediately becomes more suspicious of her.

SK102 - Steve breaks into Adrienne’s apartment. While searching, Kayla walks in and catches him red-handed. They argue. Kayla confesses that she told Adrienne to lie for her, seeing how she didn’t ever want to see him again. Steve is obviously disturbed by her remark.

SK103 - Steve continues to search Adrienne’s apartment as Kayla explains why she is so angry. Adrienne arrives and sees that Steve is there uninvited. Kayla tells Adrienne that Steve was there searching her apartment. Adrienne gets upset. Kayla again asks about Adrienne’s relationship with Steve.

SK104 - When Adrienne tells Kayla that Steve acts the way he does because he doesn’t like her, Kayla pays Steve a visit. At his doorstep and after arguing, Kayla tells Steve she is sick and tired of being the only one who talks in this relationship. Kayla and Adrienne get accosted in the alley by some thugs. Steve happens to come by, but Kayla tells him she can take care of the situation by herself. She asks for Steve’s help. Steve runs the thugs away.

SK105 - Steve notices how upset Adrienne is after the altercation. She thanks Steve profusely. Steve escorts Kayla and Adrienne to Shenanaghins. Adrienne wants to sit with Steve, but Kayla tells her she feels sure Steve has had enough of them for one day. Adrienne goes to her apartment. Hope arrives.

SK106 – Hope asks if she could join her and Steve. Kayla tells her that she and Steve aren’t on the best of terms, and how he stood her up. Hope joins Steve and asks him why he stood Kayla up. Steve starts to explain but stops when he sees one of the thugs sneak up to Adrienne’s apartment. Steve interrupts the thug’s attack on Adrienne. Bo joins Hope for lunch.

SK107 - Bo and Hope talk about Steve and Kayla. Bo makes it clear that he doesn’t want his sister to be with Steve. Hope tells him to stop being over protective. Steve throws the thug out of Adrianne’s apartment. Adrienne tries to tell Steve her secret. Hope and Bo continue to talk.

SK108 - Bo tells Hope of how Steve walked miles in freezing weather to help him when they were in Stockholm. Steve asks Adrienne what it is she wants to tell her. Kayla interrupts. Adrienne leaves to get a suitcase. Kayla tries to replace the light bulb and ends up in Steve’s arms. When Kayla tries to talk, Steve tells her he’s leaving.

SK109 - Adrienne returns as Steve leaves. Kayla explains how what Steve says and what he feels are often two different things. Kayla decides to take up Hope’s invitation and pays a visit. They talk about Steve. Hope encourages her to not give up on him.

SK110 - Kayla continues to talk about giving up on Steve. Hope continues to encourage her not to. Adrienne goes to Steve’s apartment to talk. He arrives home drunk. Adrienne helps him get settled in bed. Steve tells her he never meant to hurt her. Adrienne tucks him in and kisses his forehead. Steve is none the wiser.

SK111 - Kayla and Hope continue to talk. Kayla tells Hope that whenever she and Steve get close, he backs away. Hope tells Kayla to hang in there and not give up. Steve dreams of his childhood and setting the fire. In the alley, Adrienne again tries to tell Steve who she is. Kayla again interrupts. Steve tells Adrienne to stay out of his place and away from him.

SK112 - At Shenanigans, Kayla and Adrienne watch as Steve brings in Joanie and tells Joe to put what she orders on his tab. Kayla calls Joanie over to their table and asks about her and her son. She finds out that ‘Patch’ helped her by hustling pool. Joanie tells Kayla that she thinks he passed a big date just to help her out. Kayla runs out to find Steve. Drinking from a flask, she and Adrienne sit on Steve’s steps and wait for him. THE START OF DRUNK KAYLA.

SK113 - Kayla and Adrienne continue to drink, though Adrienne can handle her liquor much better than Kayla. Adrienne cuts her off. Steve finally comes home. Kayla falls into his arms and tells him she is there to talk to him about him standing her up and how he’s a great guy.

SK114 - Kayla insists on telling Steve what a great guy he is. He tries to put her off, but she passes out in his arms. Steve and Adrienne argue. Steve again tells her to stay away from his place. Adrienne leaves and Kayla wakes. She wants Steve to take her inside his apartment. Steve throws her over his shoulder and takes her back to the loft and tosses her on the bed. Kayla brings him down for a searing kiss. Steve helps her get ready for bed.

SK115 - Steve continues to undress Kayla. ‘Piggies are cold!” Steve has a hard time getting Kayla to cooperate. When he collects her cloths off the floor, Kayla takes off her skirt. Steve asks if this is a test. He attempts to leave, but Kayla lures him to stay. After a quick kiss, Steve gets her in bed and says he’s going home and have a cold shower. Kayla wants to go with him, but he tells her it would defeat the purpose. Kayla tells him she doesn’t want him to go.

SK116 - Kayla refuses to let Steve go. He tells her, “You’re killing me, baby,” to which she replies, “That’s what I’m trying to do.” She pulls him down to the bed for a passionate kiss. Steve makes Kayla concentrate and asks if this is what she really wants him to do. She tells him to stay, they kiss, and Kayla passes out. When Steve again tries to leave, Kayla tells him she thought he was going to stay. He climbs in bed with her.

SK117 - Laying in bed, Kayla tells Steve she likes a man who sleeps with his boots on. Kayla awakes with a killer hangover. She finds Steve standing beside her bed in nothing but a towel and a cowboy hat. She asks Steve what happened between them. She tries to remember. Steve teases her, but then tells her nothing happened between them. He tells her it would be nothing she would sleep through. The phone rings with the wrong number. Kayla suffers. END OF DRUNK KAYLA.

SK118 - Steve continues to tease Kayla. The phone is taken off the hook. Steve pulls Kayla out of bed telling her she needs food. Steve answers the door to find Caroline Brady on the other side. Steve tries to tell Caroline that things weren’t as they seem. She tells them that Max has been shot. They rush to the hospital and find the rest of the family in wait. Steve and Kayla try and comfort Frankie. Kayla talks with Kimberly about her trial.

SK119 - Kayla and Kimberly continue to talk. A reporter accosts Kimberly and Neil Curtis throws him out. Kayla comforts a worried Steve. Kayla leaves to be with her family. Steve tells her he is going to stay with Frankie. They share a warm hug.

SK120 - Steve arrives at the EC to take Kayla to the courthouse. Kayla explains she has a minor emergency in the back. The phone rings and Steve answers. Looking for a pencil, he knocks off Adrienne’s purse. After teasing Kayla about his goldfish dying, Steve puts the items back in Adrienne’s purse while Kayla helps a patient. He finds a picture of him when he was five years old. Stunned, he doesn’t hear Kayla calling for his help with a patient.

SK121 - Steve helps with the injured patient. He stares at Adrienne. Adrienne realizes something is wrong. When alone, Steve goes threw Adrienne’s purse and find the picture along with newspaper clippings of the fire. Steve again stares at Adrienne. She asks him if anything is wrong. Kayla and Steve leave for the courthouse.

SK122 - Steve tells Kayla he won’t be staying for the trial. Kayla tells Adrienne not to leave her purse on the counter, and that Steve knocked it over. Adrienne realizes that Steve found the picture and articles. Kayla enters the courtroom and finds Caroline and Victor holding hands. Steve returns to the EC and tells Adrienne they are going to talk. He confronts her about what he found.

SK123 - (short clip) Steve asks Adrienne who she is. She asks him who she reminds him of. He tells her she looks like his mother. Adrienne tells Steve she is his sister. He calls her a liar. Steve refuses to believe her. She begs. She tells him she knows why he doesn’t believe her.

SK124 & SK125 - Adrienne tells Steve of both his and her childhood. He asks if they dumped him and his brother and had another one. He then asks if they kept her. She tells him yes. He tells her he doesn’t know her or where she came from, and that he doesn’t care. Steve leaves. Kayla talks to Jennifer at the hospital about giving Frankie time.

SK126 - Steve plays his harmonica for a recovering Max. Kayla comes in and says that Max needs quiet and a little TLC. She climbs in bed with Max and tells him a nursery rhyme. Steve has a flashback of his childhood as his mother tells him the same rhyme. Steve leave abruptly. He sees Adrienne in the hallway. They argue. Kayla tells Adrienne that she wants to know what is going on between her and Steve.

SK127 - Adrienne tells Kayla she can’t tell her. It’s not her secret to tell. Steve is back at his apartment looking at the picture and articles he found in Adrienne’s purse. He has painful flashbacks to the fire and of his mother. Kayla knocks at the door wanting to talk to him. Steve doesn’t answer. Reluctantly, she leaves. Steve cries alone behind the closed door.

SK128 - Adrienne meets Steve outside the Cheatin’ Heart and asks if he is going to avoid her forever. He tells her he doesn’t know who she is and that he doesn’t care. Kayla is inside waiting for him, wanting to talk. She asks him about not answering his door. He tells her there are some things about him she’s never going to know. Adrienne comes in as Kayla leaves.

SK129 - Steve tells Adrienne that he doesn’t believe that she is who she says she is. Kayla and Bo talk about Steve. Adrienne tells Steve a story from his childhood about a wounded bird. Steve realizes that she really is his sister. He tells her that he doesn’t know her.

SK130 - Steve tells Adrienne she is a stranger to him. Kayla and Bo continue to talk in Roman’s office about her problems with Steve. Bo offers to help by telling him what he knows about Steve. Adrienne tells Steve she knows why he set the fire, that she knows why he wanted to kill their father. Bo tells Kayla what he knows of Steve.

SK131 - Bo continues to warn Kayla away from Steve. Kayla defends him, saying there is something in his past that keeps him from opening up. Kayla leaves to find Adrienne. Adrienne continues to tell Steve how bad things were are home. She asks Steve to come back with her. Steve refuses and leaves. Kayla finds Steve playing the harmonica in the alley.

SK132 - Kayla tells Steve she is going to fight for him. She knows he remembers her, and she knows he is in pain. He tells her not to try and understand. Kayla tells him to give himself a break. She holds him as he weeps. ‘LOVE DOESN’T ALWAYS HAVE TO HURT.”

SK133 - Steve goes to Adrienne’s apartment to look for pictures. Adrienne walks in on him and starts showing him pictures of his mother and when he was a child. Looking at the pictures is obviously painful for Steve. Adrienne tells him they look like a family.

SK134 - Steve tells Adrienne that he doesn’t give a damn about her family. They continue to argue as Adrienne weeps. Adrienne tells Steve his mother needs him. He tells her that’s not his problem. Adrienne tells him she is leaving Salem.

SK135 - Steve attempts to leave and Adrienne grabs him, demanding to know if that’s it. Steve tells her it is, and that he owes them nothing. Kayla arrives in the midst of the argument. Kayla becomes angry with both of them, telling them that she has tried to be their friends. All she has gotten in return is lies. She leaves. Steve goes to the EC to talk to her.

SK136 - Steve tells Kayla he has secrets from her. She tells him she thought they were special. He tells her she is special to him, but the problem is in him. He asks her to let it be. Steve asks Kayla to trust him, even though she doesn’t know everything. Adrienne comes by to give her notice. When Steve again ignores her, she leaves crying. Kayla stands outside and asks if there is anything she needs.

SK137 - Adrienne leaves, and then Kayla says he needs to go. Kayla asks if he can help her, and he says he can’t. Kayla tells him she wishes she could help him. He tells her she already has. The next day, Steve comes to the EC. He and Adrienne continue to argue. Kayla tells Steve if he feels like talking, she’s there.

SK138 - Steve sees Kayla’s dress for the Centennial. He offers to take Kayla to the event. He leaves to get ready, but pops back in to see Kayla admiring the necklace he gave her. She tells him it is her favorite piece of jewelry, and then asked where he got it. He tells her it was his mother’s. When Adrienne gets ready to leave, Kayla sees her bracelet. Kayla recognizes it as a match to her necklace. Adrienne tells her it was her mother’s.

SK139 - Kayla realizes that Steve and Adrienne are brother and sister. Steve arrives to pick up Kayla for the Centennial. She tells him that she knows he and Adrienne are siblings. Kayla thinks it is wonderful that he has a sister. Steve says she is a stranger. Adrienne arrives. Kayla encourages them to get to know each other.

SK140 - Adrienne tells Kayla that Steve doesn’t want to know her, and doesn’t her to know him. Kayla begs Steve to reconsider, but he refuses. He leaves and she follows. They arrive at the Centennial. After the show, they talk on the stage about their childhood dreams. Steve tells her he didn’t have one.

SK141 - Steve tells Kayla about his days at the orphanage. He tells her he never wants to be that scared again, and he hasn’t been. She tells him she wants to understand. He tells her she can’t. Adrienne prepares to leave the EC when her badly battered mother comes threw the door. Steve is playing pool the next morning and Kayla comes to talk to him.

SK142 - Kayla reminds Steve that his sister will be leaving town that day. He says he doesn’t care. Kayla gives him a Valentine Day card. Before she leaves, he gives her a Valentine gift; a set of chattering teeth. At the apartment, Jo tells Adrienne not to tell Steve she’s there. She talks about how much he must hate her. Jo passes out.

SK143 - Kayla is tickled with her gift. She reminds him again about his sister leaving. Steve gets angry. Adrienne calls Kayla at the Cheatin’ Heart and asks for her help. Kayla goes to Adrienne’s and tells her that her ‘friend’ needs to go to the hospital. When they get to the hospital, Kayla tells Adrienne they may have to operate.

SK144 - Kayla asks if her friend has any family in town. Adrienne says she will take care of it, and runs away to get Steve. She demands he comes with her. He puts up a fight, but ends up going with her. She takes him to the hospital where he find out it is his mother in intensive care. Kayla tells them that her ‘friend’ was beaten, and then realizes it is their mother. Steve is stunned. He goes in to see Jo, and when she recognizes him, he hides his patch and cries.

SK145 - Jo tells Steve she is sorry. He leaves. Kayla tries to comfort him while asking him if he really wants to walk out on her now. Kayla tells him not to give up. Steve tells her that he is not the one who gave up. Kayla tells Adrienne they are prepping the room for surgery. Jo is in serious condition.

SK146 - Adrienne tells Kayla how she expected more from Steve. She worries that Jo is going to die. Steve stands on the pier and thinks of his childhood. He remembers how Jo promised to come back and get him. Shawn and Caroline come to the hospital to tell Kayla that Kimberly was found guilty at her trial. Kayla gets very upset. She regrets not being there for her sister.

SK147 - Shawn tells Kayla that Shane promised he would get Kimberly out of jail. Shawn and Caroline leave to go see Kimberly. Steve talks to an unconscious Jo. He tells her that he doesn’t want her to die. He tells her he is mad, and that he doesn’t understand, but he doesn’t want her to die. He reaches out to touch her, but draws back. Kayla watches from the hallway. Kayla talks to Adrienne.

SK148 - Kayla tells Adrienne that it is obvious that Jo was beaten. Adrienne tells her it was her father. Adrienne tells Kayla she is going to take her mother away where her father can’t find them. Kayla goes to the pier to tell Steve that his mother is going to be fine. Steve says he doesn’t care and that he never will. Kayla leaves. Steve weeps alone on the pier. At breakfast, Adrienne finds Steve at Shenanigans.

SK149 - Adrienne argues with Steve, but tells him she didn’t want to leave without returning what was rightfully his. She gives him back his toy train. In the hospital room, Jo asks Adrienne what is wrong. Adrienne tells her about seeing Steve. Adrienne tells Jo how they will leave. Steve walks in the room. He tells Adrienne he’s not there to help. They argue.

SK150 - Adrienne tells Steve that he is like their father. The argument heats up before Jo calls them down. Jo tells Adrienne to leave so she and Steve and talk. Steve tells her he wants answers. Jo tells him it was Adrienne’s idea to find him. Steve asks her why she would give away her two little boys. She tells him it was because she loved him. Jo begins to explain.

SK151 - Jo tells Steve she always loved him. She tells him why she gave him and his little brother up for adoption. She tells him to forget, but that he will never tell her that she didn’t love her kids. Steve struggles with her declaration. He goes to see Kayla, who is upset herself over Kimberly.

SK152 - Steve snaps at Kayla, and then apologizes. He attempts to leave, but Kayla asks him to stay. She tells him they don’t have to talk. He tells her that he is having a hard time and knows that she is too, but he needs her. They sit in front of the fire and hug. Steve goes to the hospital to check on Jo. Kayla tells him his mother is doing better. Adrienne and Jo talk. Jo tells Adrienne she is going back to Duke. Steve attempts to leave, but Kayla stalls him with more information about Jo’s condition.

SK153 - Kayla tells Steve she took Jo some flowers. He tries to leave again when Adrienne comes running out begging Steve to talk to Jo. She tells him that Jo is going back to Duke. Adrienne continues to beg Steve to talk to Jo and he relents. When Jo asks Steve what he is doing there, he tells her he is just making his rounds.

SK154 - Steve confronts Jo with her decision to go back to Duke. They argue about why she has to go back. Kayla and Adrienne talk in the lounge. Kayla defends Steve when Adrienne says she can’t see Steve as being nice. Adrienne asks Kayla why she sticks up for Steve. She tells him she sees his heart. Jo apologizes to Steve for him being involved.

SK155 - Jo and Steve continue to argue about her decision to go back to Duke. Steve leaves angry. Adrienne and Kayla bombard him with questions when he comes in the lounge. Adrienne and Steve argue about him not being able to talk Jo into staying. Kayla offers Steve comfort. Steve tells Kayla that he thought he had left all this behind.

SK156 - Kayla encourages Steve to talk, but he tells her he needs to be alone. Adrienne and Jo continue to argue. Duke arrives, terrifying both Adrienne and Jo. Steve walks in and sees Duke. Duke prods Steve to the point of him attacking Duke. Kayla intervenes.

SK157 - Adrienne introduces Kayla to Duke. Duke continues to prod Steve. Neil Curtis steps in and clears the room. Steve tells Duke they have some catching up to do. Jo talks to Adrienne and tries again to explain why she has to go back to Duke. Jo asks Kayla to talk to Steve and tell him to stay away from Duke. Kayla reluctantly agrees.

SK158 - Steve tells Duke he’s not going to let him Jo go with him. They continue to argue as Duke reminds Steve that it was Jo who gave him up. Duke calls Steve ‘son’. Steve becomes enraged. Kayla comes in and breaks them up when the fight begins. Kayla is worried about Steve.

SK159 - Steve tells Kayla that Duke is the only person he has ever really hated in his life. He tells her he doesn’t want her involved. Kayla asks him if he wants her to stay. He says yes. He then starts to tell Kayla about Duke and his childhood when she asks what is it that makes Jo so worried. Steve tells Kayla he tried to kill Duke.

SK160 – Steve continues telling Kayla about his childhood. He describes in detail how he tried to kill Duke when he was five years old. Kayla weeps as she realizes Steve’s pain.

SK161 - Steve tells Kayla all he could feel for his father was hate. Kayla defends Jo and tells Steve that his mother loved him. Steve denies it, saying you don’t give your kids away if you love them. Steve leaves saying how his family will know nothing but trouble as long as Duke is around. Adrienne and Jo continue to argue about Jo going back to Duke. Steve interrupts and tells them to stay in Salem with him and he will help them.

SK162 - Jo tells Steve she can’t stay. Steve gets mad and tells her to go back. Kayla tells him he did the right thing. She tells him how special he is and they share a warm hug. At Hope’s baby shower, Bo and Kayla talk about Steve and his family. Bo is surprised to find out that Steve’s family is in Salem.

SK163 - Bo leaves in a hurry when he sees Orpheus walk by. Steve is at Shenanigans enjoying a beer and egg breakfast. Kayla comes in looking for him, and then tells him about the local women’s shelter. Steve tells her there is nothing he can do, that Jo doesn’t want his help. Kayla asks if it’s okay if she talks to Jo. Adrienne calls Steve and tells him Duke has come to get Jo.

SK164 - Adrienne begs for Steve’s help. Adrienne asks Steve to meet them at her place. She tells him how Duke almost hit Jo while still in the hospital. Steve agrees to meet them at Adrienne’s apartment. Duke insists Jo and Adrienne stay in the car while he gets Adrienne’s things. Kayla arrives at the hospital to find Jo gone. Kayla calls Adrienne’s and Steve answers.

SK165 - Steve tells Kayla they are going to have a big happy family reunion. Kayla asks Steve what he’s going to do. He tells her he is going to do whatever it takes. Duke comes in the apartment. Steve and Duke fight. Adrienne tries to talk Jo into leaving and tells her Steve is upstairs waiting for Duke.

SK166 - Jo is terrified that Steve and Duke are alone. Adrienne stops her from going upstairs. Kayla comes in to find Duke and Steve fighting. She tries to break them up. When Duke hits Kayla, Steve becomes enraged and pulls a gun. Duke gets scared and tells Steve he can change.

SK167 - Kayla jumps in front of Duke to keep Steve from shooting Duke. Steve begs her to get out of the way while Duke cowers behind Kayla. Steve asks Kayla to please move, but she refuses. Kayla talks Steve out of killing Duke just as Jo and Adrienne come running in the apartment. Jo says she has to go with Duke because she knows what is best for her children.

SK168 - Steve yells at Jo, telling her that he’s not little Stevie anymore, that he doesn’t need her protection. Jo finally admits she doesn’t want to go back to Duke. Steve orders Duke out. Duke professes his love for Jo and leaves. Jo questions whether or not she did the right thing. Kayla tells Jo about taking out an injunction against Duke, and of the local shelter.

SK169 - Kayla explains about the shelter. Jo agrees to go. Jo stays behind and thanks Steve. They check out the shelter and are impressed. Jo tells Adrienne that she should stay at the shelter too. Adrienne declines.

SK170 – Steve and Kayla plan to go get Jo’s things while Adrienne stays with Jo. Before they go, Steve talks to Adrienne and tells her he thinks she needs to stay at the shelter too. Adrienne doesn’t want to stay. He gives her his gun for protection. Back at Adrienne’s, Steve and Kayla talk about what happened. Kayla tells Steve he scared her.

SK171 - Kayla talks about how Steve scared her. She asks if he would have killed his father. Steve tells her yes, he would have. She tells him that after seeing how Duke was, she could understand, but she is glad she stopped him from killing Duke. Steve tells he he wants to keep her away from everything bad. She tells him as long as he doesn’t keep her away from him. They kiss. Back at the EC, Steve tells Kayla she is a workaholic.

SK172 - Steve asks Kayla to go out on a date. When she agrees, he asks didn’t her mamma teach her how to flirt. Kayla tells him that she doesn’t always do what he mother tells her to do. Adrienne comes in and offers to wait for the delivery guy. Steve and Kayla leave for their night on the town. Kayla takes Steve to the Cheatin’ Heart to play pool. BEGINNING OF POOL FOR KISSES.

SK173 – Kayla challenges Steve to a game of pool. She warns him that she’s good. Kayla wants to make the game interesting… a buck a ball. Steve says he’s not interested in money. He wants to play for kisses. Kayla agrees. Steve is stunned when Kayla breaks and sinks a few balls. Duke comes to the EC and demands Adrienne tell him where to find Jo. Adrienne denies knowing where to find Jo.

SK174 – Duke demands to know where Jo is. He intends to teach Adrienne a lesson when the delivery guy arrives. He finds the brochure for the women’s center in Adrienne’s purse. Kayla sinks a shot as the crowd cheers. Steve tells the crowd to not cheer so much. Steve sinks the next shot and wins the game. Steve informs Kayla she owes him ten kisses. At first Kayla is reluctant… “A Brady never welches”… but she then starts giving Steve his kisses.

SK175 - Kayla continues to make good her bet, all while Steve tries to make her lose count. “Best game I ever won.” “Best game I ever lost” scene. Jo answers the phone thinking it was Steve. Duke tells her he is at the EC. He tells her that one of them is going home with him. Jo agrees so that Adrienne will be safe. Duke then tells Adrienne that Jo is on the way. Duke starts to beat up on Adrienne.

SK176 - Just as Duke gets ready to hit Adrienne, Jo rushes in. She is able to talk him down. Adrienne runs out of the EC as Duke begins to beat Jo. Steve and Kayla are treated to a free beer for providing a great ‘floor show’. Adrienne runs to the Cheatin’ Heart to call the police. Steve and Kayla rush out with Adrienne to go back to the EC. The police arrive and pull Steve off of Duke. Jo defends Duke by denying that anything was going on. END OF POOL FOR KISSES.

SK177 - Jo refuses to press charges. The police escort Duke out of the EC. Steve is upset with Jo for protecting Duke. Adrienne agrees to stay at the shelter with Jo. Steve continues to argue with Jo. He then apologizes. They leave the EC to go back to the shelter.

SK178 - Kayla runs up to Steve in the ally and gives him a big kiss. She tells him Kimberly is coming home and that they found Andrew. They decide to celebrate at her place. They race off to the grocery store where Steve takes his time selecting beans. Kayla protests and Steve tells her it takes a gentle touch with delicate fingers. Kayla comes down and models her dress. START OF LARRY AND LUCY.

SK179 - Kayla asks Steve if he’s done it yet. He tells her yes, that it’s all over. The lobsters are dead. Steve is amazed to find out that Kayla has never had lobster before. The tussle over a can of whipped cream. Kayla wants to go faster, but Steve wants to go slow. Steve puts a bib on Kayla and then sits down to their lobster dinner.

SK180 - Steve tries to teach Kayla how to eat a lobster. Kayla admits she can’t eat it because they killed it. “I don’t go out to a field and look a cow in the eye and say, ‘Hey you, come with me.” She tells Steve she wants to skip dinner and get to the main course. Kayla worries she won’t be able to relax if she doesn’t hear from Chris. Steve offers her a massage to help her relax.

SK181 - They sit in front of the fire as Steve gives Kayla a massage. He tells her that he worries what happened the last time will happen again. She turns and tells him that she promises she won’t fall asleep tonight. They share a kiss, but are interrupted by the phone. Chris tells Kayla that Kimberly is free. Adrienne finds Duke in her apartment. Adrienne begs Duke to let her go. Kayla turns on the answering machine and she and Steve return to the fire. Kayla gets anxious in her kisses, and Steve tells her to slow down.

SK182 - Steve tells Kayla to slow down, that they have time. They kiss as they lay down in front of the fire. They sit on the couch and kiss. The phone rings but no message is left. It is Jo, who is worried about Adrienne. Duke continues to torment Adrienne. He pulls the phone out of the wall. Back at the loft, Kayla feeds Steve grapes. “If you loved me, you’d peel these for me.”

SK183 - Steve and Kayla talk about how much they have been through. Kayla tells Steve she doesn’t want to wait. They kiss. The phone rings and Hope leaves a message telling of how Kimberly, Shane and the baby are coming home and they are all going over. Kayla says she is not going, and Steve tells her she is. She asked him to go with her. He refuses. Kayla insists he go with her. END OF LARRY AND LUCY.

SK184 - Steve agrees to go with Kayla to Kimberly’s. Kayla again tells Steve how happy she is that he is going with her. Right after they leave, Jo calls and leaves a message about how worried she is about Adrienne. Kayla and Steve arrive at the party.

SK185 - Bo arrives for the party. Duke continues to torment Adrienne. He threatens to beat her with a belt. Her shirt gets torn and Duke realizes she is a woman. Duke rapes Adrienne. Kimberly and Shane arrive back at the house without Andrew. They all share hugs and Kayla and Steve leave. At the loft, Steve tells her it was tense.

SK186 - Kayla answers Jo’s call. Jo tells Steve that she’s worried about Adrienne. Steve tells her that he will check on her. He leaves to go find Adrienne. Steve refuses to let Kayla go. When he arrives at Adrienne’s door, he hears a gunshot. Breaking in, he finds Duke dead on the floor. Adrienne is dazed and badly beaten. Steve takes the gun from her hands.

SK187 - Steve takes the gun from Adrienne and wipes off her fingerprints, leaving his own. He tries to comfort Adrienne. Kayla comes running in with Abe. When Abe asks, Steve tells him that he shot Duke. Kayla checks Adrienne, who has no memory of what happened. Kayla continues to exam Adrienne.

SK188 - Steve nods to Adrienne trying to tell her not to tell what happened. Steve again tries to comfort Adrienne. Abe arrests Steve. Kayla tells Abe that Adrienne is suffering from memory loss. Steve tells Abe that Adrienne won’t be questioned. He then tells Adrienne she doesn’t have to answer any questions for anyone.

SK189 – Steve is arrested. Kayla asks if she can talk to Steve alone. Adrienne is taken to the hospital. Kayla tells Steve she will call Chris. Steve refuses and says that he doesn’t want Adrienne to testify. He tells her if he had killed him when he had the chance, none of this would have happened. Adrienne is examined at the hospital. She thanks Kayla for staying with her.

SK190 - Neil comes in and tells Adrienne he’s admitting her to the hospital. Neil continues his exam. Jo arrives and Kayla tells her what happened to Adrienne. She tells Jo that Duke is dead and that Steve killed him. Abe continues to question Steve. Chris arrives as Steve’s defense.

SK191 - Chris gets caught up. Steve continues to confess to killing Duke. Chris tells Steve that he can get off with justifiable homicide. Steve is interested until he finds out that Adrienne would need to testify. Neil comes out and talks to Jo and Kayla. He tells them that Adrienne was raped. Jo goes in the examining room and comforts Adrienne.

SK192 - Jo comforts Adrienne, and then tells her that Duke raped her. Adrienne denies it happened because she doesn’t remember. Kayla visits Steve in jail. Kayla tells Steve that Adrienne was raped. Steve laments that he didn’t kill Duke before any of this happened.

SK193 - Steve talks about how he should have killed Duke as Kayla listens and weeps. He blames Kayla for stopping him. Steve asks to be taken back to his cell, leaving Kayla crying. Kayla shows up at court and talks to Chris. Steve approaches and is not happy to see Kayla.

SK194 - Steve snarls at Kayla. Adrienne arrives at the courthouse. Steve asks Adrienne why she is there. Adrienne tells Steve she knows why he killed him. Steve tells her she doesn’t have to remember and tries to send her home. She refuses. Chris and the DA enter. Chris tells Steve he hopes this will all be over soon.

SK195 - Steve asks Chris to do some kind of legal thing to get Adrienne out of the room. Chris tells him he can’t, and then tells Steve to let him do all the talking. Kayla feels guilty. Chris pleads not guilty, but Steve stands and says he wants to plead guilty. The courtroom gets noisy. Chris argues with Steve, and then tells Steve to find a new lawyer. Chris requests a recess. Steve argues with everyone and remains firm about pleading guilty.

SK196 - Frankie is stunned that Steve is pleading guilty. The judge returns and Steve pleads guilty. Chris asks for bail. and bail is set. Frankie asks Steve what is going to happen next. Kayla asks why he is doing this. Bail is paid and Steve leaves. He gives Kayla a stern look.

SK197 - Adrienne begs Steve to change his mind. She tells him how she and Jo want to get to know him. He tells her the past is past. They start to leave when Adrienne asks Kayla to tell Steve to change his mind. Kayla asks Steve if it would make any difference. Steve said he is done listening to her. Kayla goes to Adrienne’s apartment to take to her see Kimberly. Steve answers the door is and is angry when he finds out where they are going.

SK198 - Adrienne is determined to go even though Steve insists she doesn’t. Adrienne and Kayla leave. Steve goes after them. They arrive at the hospital and meet Kimberly. Steve still insists that Adrienne not talk to Kimberly. Kimberly tells Steve that Adrienne has to face this or it will haunt her. Steve is not allowed to go with Adrienne. Kayla again asks Steve why he is acting like this.

SK199 - In the lounge, Steve tells Kayla to leave them alone. Kayla defends Adrienne seeing Kimberly. Steve tells her he can protect Adrienne from reliving the details. He insists Adrienne has been hurt enough. Kayla tells him that, unlike him, she is not afraid to to let someone help her. Steve walks out to go get Adrienne. He storms in Kimberly’s office to get Adrienne.
