Alexis enters Stefan’s office at GH.
A: “Hi Stefan, I’ve come to tell you that, that item you were waiting for has arrived. So we can set up the meeting with Kevin whenever you want to.”
S: “Thank you.”
A: “I also want you to know that I am very well aware of the fact that I have been riding you very hard about Katherine Bell lately.”
S: “Ad naseum.”
A: “No kidding. I’m done, I’m finished, you’re on your own. You’re a big boy, you can make your own mistakes.”
S: “You were right you know.” Alexis is taken aback.
A: “I’m sorry, I didn’t hear you.”
S: “Don’t gloat Alexis.”
A: “Oh please, just say it one more time.” Stefan gives an amusing ‘oh brother’ look.
S: “You were right. If I don’t get my act together, I could jeopardize everything we have set in motion.”
Alexis gives him ‘I told you so’ look.
S: “Arrange the meeting with Dr. Collins. I’ll be at Wyndemere in one hour.”
A: “Good..good.” Alexis watches him go and nods. Thinking the matter is resolved.
Lucy visits Katherine and is disturbed by her depressed attitude.
L: “Is that what this is about you’re in pain?”
K: “Pain? No, no pain. Is there snow in the forecast tonight.”
L: “Snow? I don’t know. Why would I know that?”
K: “You were just outside. What was it like?”
L: “It was chilly and brisk, kinda windy and..just like any other day. Why are we discussing the weather?”
K: “I miss it. It’s always the same in here. Sort of like living in a biosphere or something. I mean that’s ok, I just wonder what the weathers like sometimes.”
L: “Katherine you’ve got to snap out of this. You’re no fun. What the hell is wrong with you? Snap out of it please.” Katherine is silent.
Stefan met with Kevin which was interesting but since TPTB dropped it. I’ll skip it.
Doc. Tony enters Katherine’s room.
T: “Sorry.”
K: “Don’t apologize. Doctors have emergencies with patients they can actually help.”
T: “You know Katherine, I don’t like that tone in your voice, and I wish like hell that Stefan Cassadine in all his glorious arrogance hadn’t taken it upon himself to bring in Dr. Seberg.”
K: “He meant well.”
T: “But it doesn’t count for much if it derails your recovery. That’s not going to happen right?”
Nikolas arrives outside the door bearing flowers and overhears the rest of the conversation.
K: “I’m not going to miss any more physical therapy appointments.”
T: “That’s what I wanted to hear.”
K: “Because there aren’t going to be anymore. I want you to find me a nurse who can take care of my basic needs.”
T: “Katherine.”
K: “I’ve made my decision Tony. I want to go home.”
T: “You want to conduct your recovery at home?”
K: “Physical therapy can’t help me. I get that now. This is who I am and I accept that. I wish everybody else would too. I want to hire a nurse to take care of my needs. That means no physical therapy.”
T: “Katherine.”
K: “This is my decision and I’m asking you to respect that.”
T: “Well I can’t do that.”
K: “All right, then don’t. Just arrange for my release from the hospital as soon as possible.”
Nikolas leaves in a huff.
