Happy Birthday, Mary Beth!

On someone’s birthday, we often take the time to reflect on that person’s life and the impact it’s had on others, so here are a few of my thoughts. You may never see them, and that’s okay, but I’ll share ’em anyway.

I’ve always loved your work so much, and I know you bring so much of yourself to it. In your acting, you’ve always tried to find that special little moment in a scene where you could bring fire, understanding, compassion, common sense, or warmth of heart. That doesn’t go unappreciated.

I’ve also taken note of the way you tackle things, and the way you don’t let fear stop you from pursuing something new. You started a pie business out of your kitchen on a dare from your husband. You started writing a column, though you’d had little experience in such a venture, and then, when pictures were needed for it, you took up photography, too.

Keep on striving, Mary Beth! I think it’s terrific that you do, and I find your attitude and willingness to put yourself out there to be inspiring.
